We believe The Locavore Farm Project will empower youth and nurture mental well-being through the healing power of God’s creation. The beauty and order of creation reflect God’s love and serve as a powerful reminder of His promise to restore brokenness.
Our mission is deeply personal. As adoptive and foster parents, we’ve witnessed firsthand how God’s grace transforms broken lives. Meaningful work, fresh air, and a Christ-centered community help young people discover the hope and healing found in Him.
The need is urgent: nearly 20% of U.S. youth face mental, emotional, or developmental challenges. But we hold fast to Christ’s promise: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
At Locavore Farm, we provide a space where youth and families can unplug from the world’s distractions, experience God’s peace in nature, and be embraced by a supportive, faith-filled community.
Mission Statement
The Locavore Farm Project exists to nurture the mental, emotional, and spiritual health of youth, from birth to age 17, by connecting them to the healing power of nature and meaningful work on the farm. Through hands-on experiences, community support, and guidance in land stewardship, we offer youth a space for growth, resilience, and connection beyond the challenges of the digital age.

Through our land-based programs, The Locavore Farm Project will foster strong, resilient young people equipped with life skills, environmental awareness, and a deep sense of community, creating a sustainable, supportive space for future generations.
