Happy Mothers' Day! I was tempted to scratch this week's newsletter so I could stay in bed and receive all the pre-planned pampering from my special peeps. Alas, I was the first one up, taking up my rarely witnessed tasks of the day. I'll also be making breakfast, picking up lone socks around the house, and reloading the toilet roll holder... a typical day!
As a mom, we have plenty of valid reasons to complain about all the work we do that goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Some days I feel sorry for myself and can stomp around grumbling about all the inequity in my household.
However, for me, today is a reminder of the blessed work and service I have to offer these beautiful humans that are all Divinely placed in my care. Those who dwell in my home are my most important work and are the ultimate testimony to my love, capabilities and service. Though I imperfectly mother these dear ones, I'm present and committed to love, nurture and care for them all my living days.
Moms, your service - appreciated or not - to the peeps around you is more important than any other project or person. Take great joy and delight in your brood. Regardless of how they show their appreciation this day, could they ever really express how much you've done for them or how much they need your time and care? You are important and so valuable, dear mom!
Today, my brood and I will continue to paint the pasture fences and finish projects, preparing to meet all of you on our new farm this season!
Until next time,
Rachael Jones

We have listed our one-of-a -kind farm-stay experience on VRBO. Our cozy cottage on our new 30-acre estate is ready to be booked. Enjoy a rural landscape and the simple beauty of country living. Harvest vegetables, herbs, and flowers from the gardens, as well as stock your fridge with the farm’s pasture-raised meats, local grass-fed dairy (milk and cheese) and scratch-made baked goods. Each morning, you’ll fetch your own eggs and experience the bounty of having your own homestead. Relax and enjoy the farm as your own - choose to participate in chores or just slow down and let the rural landscape nurture your soul.
